But you can also log into Plesk, the web hosting control panel. This is similar to cPanel/DirectAdmin at other parties and this is where you perform all the management of your website(s). Among other things, you can manage your websites, e-mail addresses, databases and backups here.

Two-factor-authentication (2FA) on My Cloud86
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is critical for securing online accounts. Traditional password security is vulnerable to hacking and phishing attacks. 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second method of authentication in addition to the password, such as a one-time code via an app or SMS. This makes it harder for attackers to gain access even if they have obtained the password. Below are the steps to enable 2FA in a your MyCloud86 environment.
Setup 2FA on My Cloud86
- Login on My Cloud86 (url: my.cloud86.io)
- Click in the right top on the user (your name) and then on Security Settings.
- Click on Security Settings and on Click here to Enable.
- Follow the steps in the pop-up menu.
- Fill in the verificationcode
- Once you have linked the authentication method, you will receive a code via the app or SMS. Enter this code to complete setting up 2FA.
With 2FA enabled, your account is now better protected from unauthorized access, strengthening your online security.
