What is the Cloud86 Affiliate program?

The Cloud86 affiliate program is a great way to earn money while recommending a top-quality host. Through our affiliate program, we pay a commission for each unique and qualified client who signs up for one of our hosting or email hosting packages using an affiliate link.

The easiest way to start is by joining the program, getting your unique affiliate link, and sharing it with potential clients. Each affiliate link contains a unique tracking code that allows real-time tracking of your affiliate performance and sales.

What is the difference between referral and affiliate program?

Affiliate and referral marketing are two different forms of referral to Cloud86. While both allow you to refer new customers to Cloud86, they differ significantly in their purpose and functionality.

Referrals

Referrals are existing customers of Cloud86 who choose to recommend us to their network, such as family, friends or colleagues. This is usually done on an informal basis, with customers sharing a personal referral link to encourage others to use our services. It is a simple way to express appreciation for our services while helping others find quality web hosting.

Affiliates

On the other hand, affiliates are parties that refer to Cloud86 in a more professional manner. Affiliates can range from bloggers and comparison websites to influencers, who actively run promotions and direct customers to Cloud86 through their platforms.

In summary, referrals are more informal, individual recommendations from existing customers, while affiliates are professional partners who actively lead customers to Cloud86.

How to join the Cloud86 affiliate program and get your affiliate link?

Joining the program is easy and free. There are two ways to sign up for the Cloud86 affiliate program.

  1. If you are already a customer of Cloud86, then you can login via My Cloud86 on your personal affiliate account, by clicking in the left menu on Affiliates and login.
  2. Not yet a customer by Cloud86? Then you can register for free on our website. Fill out the required information, and once you are approved, you will get access to your personal affiliate account and all the tools that come with it.

After you are signed up and logged in to your affiliate account. You can see your personal affiliate link and id at the top. Your affiliate id is everything after #a_aid=, which is unique for every affiliate.

 

How to promote the affiliate link?

In order to support you with affiliate marketing, there are several promotional tools available. In addition to posting regular text links with your personal url, there are the following options:

  • Text links: You can link to any page on the Cloud86 website. If you make sure your personal tracking ID is in the link then transactions will be measured in your personal affiliate environment. e.g.: "https://cloud86.io/nl/webhosting/#a_aid=[your affiliate ID]".
  • Widget and Banners: There are online widgets and banners in your affiliate account (link) that you can place on your website, with this tool you can give online advice to visitors about which Webhosting Plan is the best.

What are the affiliate rewards?

As an affiliate partner, you get the chance to earn commissions by promoting our web hosting services. We believe in a good partnership and want to be transparent about our commission policy. For all our web hosting services, we are happy to pay out commissions for every successful sale. This includes various hosting packages that allow your visitors to effortlessly enhance their online presence.

However, domain names and Microsoft 365 services are excluded from payment within the affiliate program. This is because the margins on these services are too low to pay out commissions.

Affiliate tiers

Cloud86 offers an attractive commission to referral and affiliate partners. For every transaction generated through your unique affiliate link, you will receive a standard commission of €35, regardless of the size of the order.

When you generate five or more transactions per month as an affiliate partner, you will be upgraded to another commission tier. In this tier, you earn 60% commission on the total initial value of the orders generated, up to a maximum of €500,- per order. 

  • Example 1: Suppose you have 3 orders in a month with a total value of €500, your commision will be 3 x €35 or €105,.
  • Example 2: Suppose you have more than 4 orders  in a month with a total value of €500, your commission will be €300.

So Cloud86's affiliate program offers different commissions depending on the number of transactions generated.

Commision Payout

The commission approved after 45 days is paid monthly by bank. We ask you to enter your bank account and payment information in your affiliate account so that we can make the payment. Please make sure that the required details are entered correctly, because we cannot make payment without this information.

For payments, we apply a minimum amount of €100. Once your total commission reaches this amount, payment will be made at the beginning of the month. We appreciate your participation in the Cloud86 affiliate program and always strive to transfer your commission to your bank account in a timely manner.

Non-registered commision

Sometimes it happens that a transaction is not properly registered. In that case, we ask you to send us a message (support@cloud86.io). We can then validate the transaction for you using some data and manually assign it to your affiliate account afterwards.

We ask you to notify us within 4 weeks after the order. Once this deadline has passed, we can no longer manually assign commission and the right to the payout expires.
