Add email account on iPhone or iPad (manually)

For illustration purposes, we use the domain cloud86example.com always replace it with your own domain in question. The domain is whatever is behind the @ sign in the mail address (@cloud86example.com) or entered in the url bar in the browser (after https://www. or https://).

Add IMAP to iPhone or iPad (manually)

  1. Go to Settings, Mail (Accounts) and click on Add account.
  2. select Add Mail Account and when asked for the type of account (iCloud, Exchange, Google etc...) click Other.

  3. Fill in the requested information.
    • Name: (choose your own)
    • Email: (the e-mail address)
    • Password: (known to you, or see Change email password)
    • Description: (choose yourself, this will be the name of the mailbox)
  4. Click Next.
  5. Fill in the additional data
    • IMAP/POP: IMAP
      • Name: (choose your own)
      • Email: (the email address)
      • Description: (choose yourself, this will be the name of the mailbox)
    • Incoming mail server (IMAP):
      • Host name: your domain name (or Plesk server name with external website)
      • Username: (the email address)
      • Password: (known to you, or see Change email password)
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
      • Host name: your domain name (or Plesk server name at remote website)
      • Username: (the email address)
      • Password: (known to you, or see Change email password )
  6. Click Next.
  7. The mailbox has now been added and is under your accounts and visible in mail.
