If you registered your domain with us and you want to change your nameservers (for example, if you would like to use Cloudflare DNS), you can change the nameservers of your domain in My Cloud86. This gives you maximum flexibility regarding your domain.
Note: When you change the nameservers, our DNS Zone of that domain is no longer active. This means that the DNS records present with us will no longer work and you must therefore ensure yourself that these records are present with the party at which the nameservers point. This affects the operation of your website and/or email!
Login on My Cloud86 Dashboard
Use the following steps to log in to Cloud86:
- Go to the url: my.cloud86.io
- Enter the email address you used when registering.
- When you placed the order, you provided a password for your account. Forgot which password you used? Then have a new one sent to you via the forgotten password link.
Changing nameservers
- Click in the left menu on Domains and then My Domains.
- Click on the 3 dots behind the domain for which you want to change the nameservers and select Manage Nameservers.
- Select the Use custom nameservers option (enter below) and enter the new nameservers you want to use (our nameservers are entered as an example).
- When you are done, click the Change Nameservers button and the nameservers will be changed. It can take up to 4 hours for the nameservers to be known to all DNS servers around the world.
You can check propagation through a DNS checker, see for example: DNSChecker.
