My Cloud86: Let someone else manage my account

It often happens that we receive requests from customers who want to have their website managed by a third party such as a website developer or programmer. It is possible for a customer to invite a user who can manage their entire account or only certain parts of it.

It is also possible to add the same user if you have multiple customer accounts with us. This way, the user can manage all your accounts at the same time. After logging in, you can "switch profiles" to select a different customer account. This is also ideal if you are a programmer and bring multiple clients to us, but still want to maintain the technical management yourself.

Below are the steps to add an extra user:

Login on My Cloud86 Dashboard

Use the following steps to log in to Cloud86:

  1. Go to the url: my.cloud86.io
  2. Enter the email address you used when registering.
  3. When you placed the order, you provided a password for your account. Forgot which password you used? Then have a new one sent to you via the forgotten password link.

Invite User

  1. Click in the right top on the user (your name) and on User Management.
  2. Click on the button Invite New User.
  3. Enter the email address of the user you want to invite. In addition, you can choose what permissions this user will have within your account.
  4. Send the invitation. The user will receive an invitation by email and can then create a new account to log in with or, if they already have an existing account, log in with the existing account.

Switch account (user)

If you already have a user account and have been invited to manage multiple users (clients), you can switch account to log in as another user.

  1. Click on the right top on the user (your name) and then on Switch account.
  2. On screen you will see all the clients (users) you have been given access to. Switch to the profile you want to manage and you will automatically be logged in as this client.
