Symptoms
If you have moved your domain, in some cases -when you request an SSL certificate- you may get the following error message:
Details
Cannot issue a Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for 'yourdomain'.
'yourdomain' DNS zone contains an AAAA record, but the domain is not assigned to an IPv6 address in Plesk..
Cause
- There is another DNS record of the domain active, pointing to an IPv6 address through an AAAA record.
Solution
By default we do not support IPv6 addresses on our servers, the only exception to this is our Managed VPS. In this case, there is a good chance that the provider you come from still has an active AAAA record in the DNS zone. This will have to be removed, after which you can have an SSL certificate issued for the website. We do not have specific steps for this because it varies by provider.
Once the domain transfer is complete, our DNS Zone will become active and AAAA records will disappear. The only thing you can do is check if there are no AAAA records present in our DNS records. See Manage DNS settings.
